    • Support for multiple map layers, e.g. to show changing boundaries over time;
    • Indicator popup can now include mean, standard deviation, range, and the highest and lowest country/map regions for the selected indicator;
    • Data sources can now be specified by indicator as well as by category;
    • New customization options
      (add a map title, set the height of the top interface (indicator/graph/country selection panels), add 'average' marker inside indicator bars, set graph label size, select data format: csv or txt);
    • Improved interface.
    • StatPlanet Plus 2.4 additional features:
      • Drag-and-drop cities and other points of interest onto your map;
      • Custom Flash map added;
      • Shapefile version now also supports proportional symbol maps.

    • Portuguese (Brazilian) translation added, courtesy of the Instituto Centro de Vida.

      • Data import function improved: fixed incompatibility issue for older versions of Excel, improved detection of country name spellings;
