He was involved in all aspects of the design and implementation of the SACMEQ II and SACMEQ III Projects, and he co-authored the SACMEQ II and SACMEQ III National Report for South Africa.

Swaziland
Mr Jabulane Shabalala
is the Director of the Educational Management Information System Unit of the Ministry of Education and Training in Swaziland. He completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Swaziland, and then followed this with a Masters Degree in Mathematics Education from King’s College and a Masters Degree in Educational Planning and Management from the International Institute for Educational Planning. For several years he taught mathematics and science in secondary schools, and for the past 15 years he has worked in the Head Office of the Ministry of Education and Training. He was Swaziland’s National Research Coordinator for the SACMEQ II and SACMEQ III Projects, and he was the author of Swaziland’s SACMEQ II National Research Report.
